James Ehnes returns for his sixth appearance at the Festival in the Festival Finale playing two works for violin and orchestra, the Chausson Poeme and the Bartok First Violin Concerto. James Ehnes performed the Barktok Violin Concerto #2 at the Festival in 2007 and the Bernstein Serenade in 2009. The concert concludes with the first Festival performance of the Prokoviev Symphony #5, an orchestra tour de force.
