Anna Burden makes her first PMF solo appearace in the Prokofiev Sinfonia Concertante which was first performed at the Festival in 1989 with Wendy Warner, cello and most recently in 2000 with Mark Kosower. Rachmaninoff's Vocalise was first heard at the PMF in 1990 and most recently in 2004. Tonight's concert closes with Mussorgsky's Pictures at An Exhibition, orchestrated by Ravel, in it's second PMF performance, having been first heard at PMF in 2001.
